My family is originally from San Rafael, California but we moved to Tuscaloosa, Alabama [Roll Tide] when I was just a little younger than ten years of age. The transition was difficult growing up in the South but who I am today is a result of my parent’s good upbringing and all the different cultures I have been molded and transformed by. Man was created in the wilderness. He was formed from the dirt by the power of the Creator. God saw that it was not good for man to be alone so He removed a rib from man and created him a life partner. That is why we say, “I have finally found my missing rib.” – You complete me.
I want to document the here and now – to keep forever. What I want to photograph changes with every stage of my life.
“I am a flower quickly fading, Here today and gone tomorrow. A wave tossed in the ocean. A vapor in the wind.” Life is short. Let’s have more to spend with our families when it matters the most. How will you want to remember these moments of your lives?
What is more fun? Dancing or getting to enjoy your favorite candy as a child? How about both? I hope you never forget the freedom and joy you feel to dance and to taste all of what life has to offer.
I believe the key is to be adaptable. Rain or shine. Roll with the punches. Take what you have, turn it into a positive. Best of all, just enjoy life as it happens.
